06.11.25 Town Hall: Housing Access Now!

We're hosting a town hall because unhoused Austinites have been given little chance for permanent housing because lack of deeply affordable housing and being denied housing based on criminal history, eviction history and lack of income. Many VOCAL-TX members and leaders, service providers, and elected officials have ideas on how to make housing more accessible. At our Town Hall we’ll host a panel discussion with people who are justice impacted that have faced barriers in the housing process, and people who are, or have previously, experienced homelessness due to a lack of deeply affordable housing. We’ll also hear from elected officials who are dedicated to changing things for the better on these issues in our city. Overall, we’ll learn more about the depth of homelessness in Austin and how we can fight for housing for all. See you there!
